How to uninstall Internet Explorer on Windows 7
If you’re running Windows 7, you can uninstall Internet Explorer by clicking the Windows Start button and navigating to the Control Panel. From there, you’ll want to click Programs, and then Programs and Features, which is the place you need to be if you want to uninstall any program. To get rid of Internet Explorer, simply click on the Turn Windows Features on or off option on the left. You’ll want to find Internet Explorer in the list of features and then untick the checkbox next to it and click OK to confirm. Then, you should press Restart Now to apply the changes. You should now find that Internet Explorer is gone from your machine. Technically, you haven’t uninstalled Internet Explorer with this method, simply hidden/disabled it, but it’s a handy workaround nonetheless. How to uninstall Internet Explorer in Windows 8
Uninstalling Internet Explorer from Windows 8 requires a slightly different process.
Tap the Windows button (or keyboard key) and start typing “Turn Windows” and click on “Turn Windows Features on or off” in the list of results. You might need to enter your administrator password to progress.
To turn off Internet Explorer, just uncheck the box to the left of Internet Explorer, and then click OK. Now, click Yes to confirm that you want to hide Internet Explorer.
